COVID-19 weekly update

Anyone looking for good news this week will be hard-pressed to find it in the local, state and national data. All of the trends below are negative.

However, you may find some solace in reports about antibody testing saying the virus has already spread far more widely than is known. Thus, the actual hospitalization and fatality rates are much lower.

Second, those concerned about schools starting up this fall may also take comfort from the following presentation of local data showing cases and fatalities by age. It reinforces the suggestion that young people are not in the cross-hairs of this virus.
